CharlieG king_of_the_slums @Harvest What's the sizing like with Uniqlo? Generally, I'm a large but with some, more fashion based, brands have to get XL.
CharlieG CharlieG Ordered a red/black plaid regular fit, shirt and an olive oversize shirt both in large. Fit is spot on in both. Bonus is that they're not made in China but have a feeling that 7 year olds in Bangladesh and Cambodia may have been involved....😕
heyho Two bags of San franscisco Bay coffee beans from Costco. Reduce to £4 a bag. Nicest I've tasted for a while
90Piesanhour A pair of Regatta waterproof and windproof (?) walking shoes in black and lime green - £49.99 and a Diesel denim jacket - £32, both from TK Maxx bought with my £100 One for All voucher that I got from work. There are some perks to my current job.
Under-the-ground A new duck egg thermos flask, for mrs arches birthday in a couple of weeks. This is the high life
heyho Ive just bought Mrs H a new food mixer. Last year I bought her a Ninja cooker for Christmas and it went down like a lead balloon so she can have this now. Apparently she is making a Christmas Cake and our very old mixer has given up the ghost. It is the time to give.
Reggie_Perrin heyho not many women welcome food prep gadgets as gifts. Good luck with that H. I reckon kitchen stuff should be filed with groceries as necessary joint purchases not gifts for the wife.
heyho Reggie_Perrin ahh you see my mum did. Every year my dad bought her a new gadget for her Birthday and Christmas. And when I cleared the house out most of it went to the skip 😆
Reggie_Perrin heyho by definition, a different generation. Good luck with it bit if you value your knackers I recommend framing it not as a gift but something the kitchen needs. Don't know your missus but I'd take it back and say "shall we go buy a new mixer".
CharlieG Always get Mrs G something useful for Christmas - dusters, dishcloths, teatowls - that sort of thing.
Travis_Bickle I've bought the Mrs Magimix, Kitchenaid and Bamix stuff before. Fucking expensive. Lucked out on the new house, all the kitchen appliances, ovens etc are Miele. Now that is expensive....
