I'm 3 episodes into this and enjoying every minute. Approached it with a little trepidation as some of the reviews were none too sympathetic. Probably all written by people who weren't around in the mid 70s so don't really get it. Really refreshing to hear it from a Pistols source that wasn't Mouthpiece Mclaren or Johnny LA Lydon. Looking forwards to further episodes.

Bohemian Rhapsody.
Every review probably reads ‘I’m not a Queen fan, but……’
Which, funnily enough, is what I’d have said.
It’s a good film, very well made.
Malek is excellent. I don’t think it was Oscar worthy, but good nonetheless.
What spoilt it for me was Freddie’s nashers. They dominated every scene he was in, to such an extent you couldn’t take your eyes of them.
Still, a good film and a couple of hours well spent.

CBIT It’s fucking awful, but strangely compelling.

Another part of our cultural heritage packaged up and sold off. Lots of Gen Y’ers moping around looking moody, 100 club looking like a mobile phone advert. I was wondering if you knew nothing of the Pistols would you get a sense of how transgressive it was? Youngest has been lapping it up though - “did no-one swear on tv back then?”

But I’ll end up watching it all…

And who knew Chrissy Hynde was such a looker?

For anyone into their Westerns, just watched a cracking film on Netflix,.
Hostiles starring Christian Bale.
Quite brutal in places but also some very moving scenes.
Decent watch for all that.

Les Rivieres Pourpres (The Crimson Rovers). A french thing. Old grizzled commissioner and his young ginger lady lieutentant investigate odd killings, invariably perpetrated by some cult of weirdy religious nutjobs. A bit out of the ordinary and all the better for it. No idea what channel its on (I tend to operate outside conventional TV viewing) but it is really rather excellent. I've just got hold of and started watching the 3rd series.
