Raposa Got loads of sympathy for the soldiers who were thrown in there. Had a few mates who were in the army and did a tour or two. Some real horror stories. They were just kids themselves. I was half expecting something like the school boy had a bottle of pop in his hand and was coming towards our station and I panicked or I was aiming for a gunman in the trees behind you. I guess we don't get answers to everything. Compelling viewing though.

My brother was in 2 para , did two tours, holed out mainly around the Crosmaglen area, or bandit country as he called it.
Some of the tales he used to tell me beggared belief .
When he came home after the first tour and back home on leave he couldn’t sleep.
He was always a keen runner.
We shared a bedroom and he used to get up at 2 or 3 in a morning and go for a ten mile run .
He actually got stopped by the plod a couple of times,they probably thought he was nuts.
Even after all these years I know it still affects him,
As you suggest most of the squaddies just didn’t want to be there

I knew someone in 3 para. He was a fucking nutter before he joined. Afterwards he was unmanageable. Lost contact a long time ago because you couldn't walk into a pub with him without him trying to start a fight within the first 10 minutes.

space Was chatting with an old ex-para mate in the pub when I went home a few weeks ago. He really made me laugh. He'd been having neighbour issues with some bagheads. A young copper had come round to reassure him that the problem neighbours were being dealt with and he wasn't at any risk from them. He said "I'm not being funny mate but I'm an ex-paratrooper and they are at MASSIVE risk from me".

3 mates were in 2 para - Gaz, Stubby and Verts, and they loved it. They joined up originally after the Falklands - they wanted a bit of it. They did a couple of tours of NI, and Stubby got taken out by the proddies in Newtown Ards when he went to live there with his proddie bird when he demobbed, ostensibly because he told them to fuck off when they tried to get him to do stuff. The two who are left consistently say it was the best time of their lives. They live in Cookridge now. Read into that what you will.

EEPW we've never piggybacked or let anyone use ours but I agree with all you say. We pay for Netflix and Amazon but fucked Sky off a couple of years ago for IPTV and loved it.

If I were to choose a new legit streaming service I wouldn't choose Netflix anyway. Probs Apple and pair with Freeview and Amazon.

How will they police mobile device use anyway? By it's very nature it's not designed to be used at the same IP address.

Reggie_Perrin they have an option "click here if you are travelling". and they send a code to your mobile. Not sure how long its valid for though and might need renewing every day which would be a pain in the but.
