EEPW Cooley Thought it was superb right up until the final series which looked like it had been written by a 10 year old monkey with dyslexia wearing boxing gloves.
Cooley I wouldn’t usually recommend it, but Panorama could be worth watching this week. All about the rise and fall of a drug gang from that delectable place on Merseyside: Huyton. Aye, aye soft lad.
space If you've got an Australian VPN connection you can try this place: watch.brollie.com.au Loads of old shows and particularly has 80s and 90s "Ozploitation" comedy horror flicks that the boys down under did particularly well. Loads of stuff here that I'd never heard of.
hendersonjones Finally managed to binge watch , The Long Shadow all seven episodes , certainly a different take on the investigation and a sign of the times at the time , wife struggled at times to watch it , we’re we really that bad in society to women
Djpekingman hendersonjones My recollections of that time is that we were. Pubs were very much a male haunt in which women feared to tread. Punk, when it came along really opened up this whole new world to women as empowerment and freedom to be what you wanted came around. It still took another 10 years to catch hold in Scotland. The portrayal of dibble is very damning and corresponds almost exactly with the arrogant CID Sweeney wannabees that I remember from the pubs, particularly the Fleece in Horsforth. Remember the sex discrimination act only happened in 1975 - there were an awful lot of ingrained attitudes that took some shaking in the 10 years after that.

Bod Mr Inbetween, Australian drama about a guy who's a father, brother, boyfriend and also a criminal for hire. Some great characters in it, it's funny, sad and violent, only 30 minutes per episode, I'm sure someone on here put me on to it.
Anchor Thing on Ch4 last night about a bloke back from the dead. True crime thing. I'm gonna watch second part tonight. Lots of 'fuck me' moments. And lots of 'what a cunt' moments. edit: https://www.channel4.com/programmes/imposter-the-man-who-came-back-from-the-dead
Bod Anchor watched this, a complete narcissist how he controlled people, was his last wife under his control or just dilussioned. I do remember it in the news.
Under-the-ground On a while back. The second series of Crime on ITV, the Irvine Welsh thing. Absolutely brilliant. The lead is fantastic, but the dialogue & script are superb. Especially the last bit & tie in to train spotting. Excellent
white_dragon The Gathering https://g.co/kgs/2CGR8yP Watched first 2 episodes last night C4. Excellent so far, gritty British drama set on Merseyside. If the first two are anything to go by, you'll all love it. Only picked it up because someone on twatter said it mentioned The Crocky Trail, on last nights episode. Where we went on Tuesday.
Under-the-ground l.q.navarro. just finished this. Went on too long but ok . Also a bit too Hollywood ending. He cured himself of being an alccy without any trouble!
Anchor Djpekingman That's what my wife and I said - all seemed a bit backward in that respect. And the fact he was out the wheelchair and kicking off in nick. Just get a prison guard over to testify he was a melt.
