Spike Lee. Why people rave over this clown is beyond me. I’ve seen two of his films and they’ve both been shit. The latest is Black Klansman - now on Netflix. A good yarn is totally bollocksed by Lee. Don’t waste your time. Cooley gives this 4/10. Stinker.

I’ve just got myself a Amazon Prime free trial for a month, and have watched a couple of great docs. Firstly, So What - a fantastic little film about the Anti- Nowhere League. Terrible band, but highly entertaining. Cooley rating: 8.5 out of 10.
The second one is about Ted Bundy. For the first time ever his long-time girlfriend is interviewed. Fascinating five-parter. Rum lad, Ted. Cooley rating: 9. 👍

Season 2 of The Umbrella Academy has dropped on Netflix, if you like the darker end of the superhero genre.

Raposa It gets better. Gervais (whether we like him or not) reckons it’s up there with the Sopranos, Wire et al. I wouldn’t go that far, but it’ll probably be the best thing you watch this year. Easy.

Perry Mason, newish HBO series, really good. 1920s set prequel to the long running TV show about a master lawyer, I'm not familiar but I think it was big in the 60s. Anyway, this is him when he was still a down at heel but very smart gumshoe.
