Just finished it. Checking the reviews beforehand, the general consensus was a three or four out of five film. I’d put it somewhere in between. Hardly an original premise: rural Ireland, former boxer/now enforcer for an archetypal dodgy family, which clashes with his role of father to a kid with autism. The pace hardly steams along, but what you do get is well written and the acting is high calibre, particularly the lead actor. Fuck knows who he is, but he’s very impressive. All in all, an above average film and better than most of the shit you find on streaming channels.
