90Piesanhour I disagree largely as TV series allow writers to really expand on stories, characterisation, plot and narrative arcs. With stuff DOP's can do these days producers are not so overly reliant on budgets so to speak.
A good example of this is Crime on Britbox - I think the genre is particulalry good for Welsh - he is not appeasing an audience before the audience either as is the case in film.
A place for all of it in my opinion.
