I think thats the majority demographic on here.

Some may see it as a crime, I dont. Thats because its not aimed at me.

Its aimed at ranting people who have been hoodwinked into a divisive nationalistic opinion. This whole diatribe is aimed at dividing the unity of the European Union by Putin and also the Neo Conservatives in the US. Also sadly many hedge funds who had positions in currency based on huge changes post brexit.

Making people fear different cultures and people based on exploiting extreme versions of Islam.

Making it a “National” issue, preying on peoples national self esteem.

In reality its a problem of the global economy.. people are fleeing to europe from Asia and Africa. Because their local economies are in a state. Some worse than others.

To generalise massively Africa has been raped by France and the UK mainly and also the IMF and the world bank. Followed by trans national corporations. Also any country where there is mineral, oli & gas is also up for abuse Sudan, Libya, Syria, Tunisa, Algeria, Iraq etc etc

In a nut shell Ken. Youre a victim in this as much as the rest of us who’s life working and pleasure has been changed by Brexit. But the difference between you and me is that Ive not been suckered into all this “my country” bollocks.

I can't and won't speak for Ken, but perhaps the issue for many is that any expression of pride in this country is met with derision at best and vitriol at worst, whereas the cultures of those who come to this country are, albeit not universally, encouraged and, in a sense, protected by the same people.
In many ways, technology and a shrinking world have meant that cultural differences are more obvious than ever. It's easier to not have to integrate or adapt. Some people are afraid of change. And sometimes they have good reasons for that. The 'Brits' have no monopoly on that. Wanting to retain a 'British way of life' is no different to wanting to retain a great deal of what you brought from your mother country when you arrive here.
The difficulty with debates about race, culture, diversity and integration is that they frequently end up being the preserve of those on the extremes. The majority don't engage for fear of ridicule or criticism.

What you're missing here is that your so called pride in Ingerland or Great Britain or wherever the fuck it is, is that until these racist, misogynist manipulative idiots like Robinson, Farage, Anderson, Lepen, Meloni, Orban, Kickl, Wilders, Churupalia, Wiedl etc etc told you that you should be having national pride and hating/blaming foreigners you didn't give a flying fuck about it.

It doesn't matter whether you label it under freedom of speech or populist or euro sceptic, you're being used for their own financial and political ends.

Djpekingman I think you've exemplified the problem. Plenty of people were proud of this country and remain so and didn't need other people to tell them they were. But if, when they express that pride, they're met with responses like that, don't be surprised if they migrate to those who offer a more receptive ear, even if their motives are malign.
Those debates and conflicts about culture and tradition occur in every community. There are tensions about change wherever you look. We'd achieve far more if we recognised that and concentrated on what we share.
