Don't know why people keep banging on about his time at Norwich in the PL, the bloke had f*ck all to spend. Like turning up to a Formula 1 Grand Prix in a Mini.
All the possible replacements are basically managers who have already failed in the PL or who have no experience. Everyone's a gamble at some point so why not stick with the bloke who got us there.
It's been discussed before but the club needs to have a business model & playing strategy in place that means it almost doesnt matter who the manager is.
Its my hope that he's given serious money to spend on players who will improve but fit into his system. No f*cking star name signing to appease the Twatterati . Proven prerformers but fringe players from the top 3/4, Japanese players (serious work ethic and talented) and/or picking over the corpse of the 3 relegated teams for young talent . What goes around ... 😇
Definitely harking back to a different era but it would be nice to think we'll bring in players who actually want to play for us. I do believe (naively maybe) we do have players who'll work their arses off for us and not down tools if it goes pear shaped :Rodon, Ampadu, James, Tanaka, Aransson, Piroe (though still not convinced ? ) I'd add Bamford in here but we should get what we can for him and invest.
