Pete Wild's tenure has seen the Town players huddle at the end of the pre-match warm-up before they go back in to get ready for kick-off. Their break from it and running into the changing room together as a group always acts as the catalyst for the crowd to make some noise and seems to get them fired up too. He also makes sure that, win, lose or draw, they clap the fans at the end.
Of themselves they may not change results but the pre-match stuff is definitely a part of the better atmosphere we've seen under Wild. Trust me, at The Shay they fucking needed it....

Don't read too much into it, we are middle-aged northern English cynics. He's American, to them it is totally normal it's what they do in sport. I work with and socialise with many Americans and this is simply their culture, its all cool with me. As long as he keeps us up, they can dance round the may-pole for all I feckin care.

I've been mentally impacted by seeing the cheerleaders at Castleford Tigers. I suppose counting how many have extra fingers is a good pass time if the game is boring but the stories my daughter told me about the competition amongst the cheerleaders to shag as many first team players as possible was rather disturbing.

New boss blaming Roberts for wanting to stay on. Bielsa would never have done that. Difficult 2nd album vibe about this one. Not that his first match was a classic, but at least they did different stuff.

I have booked a flight to come back with the kids, and the only home match we could see is Man City at home on the 30th. What are loops you have to jump through to stand a chance of getting any tickets? Registered membership etc? Its a very long shot I know, but worth a try.
