Cooley I wish I could read more books, but I get too distracted with my phone: news, streaming, YouTube, OMJ, twitter, it’s a nightmare. My fault, I know. I used to read enormous quantities, but now…. Shocking really.
oneallanclarke Fictional account of Eric Blair’s (aka George Orwell’s) experiences as a young man in the Burmese colonial police. Enjoyable so far. Theroux’s travel writing is without equal and I’ve liked quite a few of his novels, too Great that he’s still publishing at aged over 80
fuzzy Finally got around to this. Can remember Fulmine talking about it last year. I love the way he writes. It's brilliant and also very funny.
albert_herbert_hawkins Just finished Opium by Martin Booth which is an ABC of opium as a product historically through the transition to heroin. Very lacking in judgement, just who was doing what and how much and when.
Anchor Just finished this. Weird lit extraordinare. Horror supposedly. I just thought it was odd. Lynchesque or burroughsesque. Fits and starts. Enjoying pushing boundaries with indie publishers though
l.q.navarro. Salems lot. Stephen King I remember that programme years ago, scaring the shut out of me.
Bod I like to get through a classic at least once a month, this is written in Diary and journal extracts and it does drag on a bit and slow a lot of waffle. The ending was over before it began, disappointed
Anchor Bod I remember reading it in the 90's and being mildly entertained. I like an epistolary format. I struggle with older literature in general but the nature of it helped in this instance for me.
