Just finished the Outsider by Camus after seeing Anchor's post and wanting something quick to read after the 1000 plus pager by Paul Auster that I just finished. Third time I've read it since the 90s. Read over two nights in the bath. Enjoyed it a lot. Its got a cinematic feel to it. Even though its translated from French I get crystal clear imagery from it. Some very memorable lines. The last time I read it was on the way to Birmingham for a night out. The line about when having a loaded gun in your hand you can either pull the trigger or not stayed with me. I was offered a pill that night and "pulled the trigger" then regretted it on the national express coach back to Leeds the next day. C"est la vie.
