AndreWeimaraner Don Winslow’s “Danny Ryan series”. Getting towards the end of the second and need to order the third and final one “City in Ruins”. A bit cliched, but sometimes an easy read, bit of a page turner is just what’s needed. About an Irish-American gangster.
Under-the-ground Just finished the life & times of Graham Greene. What a life he lead. Great writer & man as well
Anchor Bod It's a great book. I'm reading it now. He wrote a book called Ablutions that is incredible. Written in the second person. Never read a book before or since in the second person. It's about a piss can and very entertaining/dark.
oneallanclarke Anchor Bright Lights, Big City by Jay McInerney If on a Winter’s Night a Traveler by Italo Calvino Also, a brilliant short story that's on the tip of my tongue...
Anchor oneallanclarke Go on. My interest is piqued. I think I have that Italo book actually - it rings a bell anyway.
oneallanclarke Anchor Just spent 15 mins googling but nothing jogged my memory. Maybe it was a substantial section of a novel. A lot of Haruki Murakami's Kafka on the Shore is second-person narrative but it's not a novel of his that I particularly like, in comparison to many of his others. I'll let you know if it comes to me
