The 50s-set thrillers he’s written recently are good but a bit bleak.

oneallanclarke I'm reading one called the Sea. I'm having to define a word on almost every page. I'm enjoying it as I'm a bit Susie Dent regard words but some are a bit mad.

Read , Relentless, which was relentless. So got this on the strength of that. 2/3rds through and it's also very good, think this was his first book.
