Just finished The Blade Artist. Really enjoyed it. Mad as fuck. Gonna get Dead Man's Trousers next. Think I've read about ten books by Welsh now and enjoyed them all. Glue and Skagboys are my favourites

fuzzy I'm an absolute Welsh fanboy. He can do now wrong. I loved Blade Artist. The in control Begbie is far more terrifying prospect.

fuzzy He's one of them my ocd or whatever means i've read everything he's wrote and enjoyed them all, even the yank stuff - really liked that one about fat girl prisoner getting thin and her captor doing opposite

The Predicament by William Boyd. The second in his accidental spy series with Gabriel Dax. I really like them. I'm not really into the genre but Boyd is just such a good writer. Hugely enjoyable and he weaves 60s politics into the stories effortlessly. Highly recommend.

One man and his bike. Mike carter.

Just finished this after buying another copy. For me the best book on cycling. He starts from the Thames and travels doing the edge of Britain. It’s brilliant, funny and beautiful.

This pretty much got me cycling when I read it 15years ago or whatever it was. Recommended

Another one from the swapsie shelf in big Tescos. Interesting read. His description of the "dark retreats" he has done is fascinating. 49 days in a little room in total darkness with food and water pushed through a hatch once a day. Meditates most of the time. Hallucinates like a bastard working his way through scary ones like seeing his limbs being eaten by maggots to nicer ones like seeing stars above where the ceiling is. Comes out serene. Most people would be buckled after a few days.

How British farming fucked itself. Great read.

A quick easy and enjoyable read. A world I know nothing about. He’s matter of fact about the advantages he’s had in life but comes across so far (about halfway through it) as a good sort.

Finally got round to reading this , decent enough tale about a sarf landan yoof's entry into the world of dial a hitman , but what sets this book apart from any other book I've ever read is it actually mentions someone who i've snogged!
