Another Ben Elton book, Time and Time again.
Not as humorous as some others of his I have read, but the historical context, being time travel back to the shooting of Franz Ferdinand which started WW1, make it a fascinating read.

Cooley I read Hammer of The Gods years ago expecting it to be truly shocking in the extreme as that's what I'd heard about it. Ultimately, it was pretty tame, just the odd TV launched off balconies.

I know loads of people read this at school but am just reading 'to kill a mockingbird'. It's a joy to read. I love it. The style, the atmosphere, the vernacular, the understated (and unexpected) humour, the wisdom and humanity in how it tackles its core themes and of course the characters. Atticus Finch - top man.
