Gave up on How Late It Was if that’s the one about the blind bloke. Big feature in the NY Times on Scottish authors after Train Spotting broke. He was the first one I tried. It was the only one they had in the book store. I never felt compelled to try any of the others.
Bought a biography of Anthony Bourdain yesterday. Didn’t know there was one out until I saw it in the shop. Not sure how I feel about it to be honest. I have an idea of him part of me wants to keep. On the other hand I don’t think my view will change radically, part of what made him relatable was his flaws. Some of my best friends have been drug addicts. I haven’t stopped loving them.
