
Just finished. Some great stories in there, the guy’s writing style grates a bit in places, but plenty of touching human interest stuff in there and we’re all of a similar age… funny, looking at the track listing, I remember that I barely listened to it. A lot of utter tosh. Common thread seems to be that most of the bands were given 100 quid to record something and offered a re-worked b-side or something totally new, while old McGee got Primal Scream and the Bodines to put their best songs on it, the canny git. Forgot how good the Close Lobsters were though.
