Jane Weaver, Todmorden’s finest, has a new album out, Love in Constant Spectacle. Like her previous stuff it mixes elements of Krautrock, trippy folk, Saint Etienne-type pop and psychedelica but is this time a bit more downbeat in direction.
I read her described as a one-woman Stereolab, which is pretty apt and gives an idea of the level of talent and originality. I made a Spotify playlist of of my faves of hers from the last 10 years
