Flaneur I remember seeing the video for Sunflower on the chart show or something on a Saturday morning and thinking "Oh wow". I bought a stripey t-shirt like the one he is wearing in the video that afternoon.
His gig at Glastonbury in 94 playing those songs is one of the best gigs I've ever seen. If not the best. I found out later that he had just split with Dee that day. He played like a man possessed. People were looking at each other and shaking their heads as if to say "fucking hell this is incredible".
I like the thuddy drums. Steve White is at the pinnacle of his career on that album.
