Rudi I’m venturing into unknown waters here, and am happy to be corrected, but take for instance the last couple of by-elections - the Tories are still receiving a very healthy share of the vote. It’s easy to lay the blame at Labour’s door by saying Sir Keir is a gimp, but the Tories (from what I read/can make out) continue to hold their own. If there was a General Election tomorrow, would Labour win?

Slightly overstated but in essence I agree. I cannot work out why the Tories are doing this? They're chasing the vote of a minority viewpoint at the expense of the majority when all they need to do it is basically do fuck all - lets face it, a tub of lard with a blue rosette could have won the last election (and probably did). It's almost like they're being guided by a someone living in an alternate reality.
