It's difficult to find out what the truth is here because a) there's the usual social media hem clutching bullshit storm going and b) johnson et al are fucking liars to begin with.

We're they pinged to self isolate as is being said by the enraged masses, or were they pinged to get tested as part of the ongoing trial as they claim (as I was last week)? Does anyone have any credible source either way?

...and I was in contact with someone but was not told to isolate but intstead get tested and return a result within 3 days. Hence my question. There are trials of different strategies going on hence my question as to whether anyone knows anything factual.

Were they indeed told to isolate or were they told to test as they claim? Was their decision to test made by them or for them?
