Interesting choice this.
Listened to it a couple of times, but 40 years ago.
The original HL were one of 'our' bands. Be it groups of mates, or when started going to Pips in 1980. The original line up, with the projector in concert, were like a local version of the exotically European Kraftwerk who we also loved.
When they split in Summer 1980, after Marianne and A Crow and Baby, the trendier ones chose sides and went with the creative ones who formed Heaven 17 (and BEF).
Phil's gang were okay, but too poppy and uncool when you are 16. They did surprisingly good pop songs though, including Human, with Jam and Lewis which I Ioved.
Will deffo give this another listen.
Similar to somebody above, I considered Penthouse and Pavement as my choice, if I ever get off the bench.
