Town's home game against Oldham tonight was postponed yesterday. No alternative venue so far. Nothing from the club since last night. I've heard everywhere from Curzon Ashton to Doncaster being suggested as possible grounds to play it. West Yorkshire Police supposedly not happy with some of those. Ticket collection all over the place (yes, that's 'collection', you cannot buy an e-ticket for The Shay....I know, it's 2024). They were still letting people buy them online when the game was off and no plan B was in place.
They have to play Barnet on Saturday and Ebbsfleet on Tuesday at home. The RL lot have done their bit to make that nigh on impossible....
This gives you an idea what it was like after they played Batley on Sunday. It's rained a lot since then.
Town have a genuine chance of the play-offs and, in this league, anyone could win them. And there's a real question as to how they'll actually finish the season.
Still, could be worse, could be Dover.....
