Drinking culture is so much a part of life for most of us isn't it? Like a matrix that we're all plugged into. Sticking your head outside of it even sounds a bit trippy to me sometimes. I like that idea today. I'll feel bored again at the weekend though.

Flaneur taste like shit. Any who can make vegan cheese and low alcohol taste good will make a mint.

Flaneur I'm fine drinking the 0% beer at home but I struggle if in the pub or at a gig etc and everyone else is getting a bit merry. Can't shake the missing out / denying myself a treat feeling. Gonna need to work on this. It's easier to not go out at the moment.

Loose_Lips Shipyard "Low Tide" and Ghost Ship Low Alcohol are both good if you like IPA's. The 0% Guinness is perfectly acceptable too, albeit a bit sweet. DryDrinker.com has some good offbeat choices. It's come a long way since Lawrie McMenemy.

Rudi Shipyard low tide is the one I buy. Along with the Guinness 0%. Alcohol free wine is fucking awful. They've got some catching up to do.

fuzzy The ‘everyone getting a bit merry’ bit could - from a sober point of view - be interpreted as ‘everyone getting a bit annoying’.
Far be it from me to preach though.

Cooley It can get annoying later in the night when people tell you the same story over and over again whilst spraying saliva on your face. It's time to go by then though.

Anchor I am the same, sat at home most nights on my own, bloody boring. I have been going out for local walks around my part of town. Need to buy myself some books to read, haven’t read too much in recent years. I used to read a lot.

Mitaman I have ramped my reading up. I read now instead of TV and set aside time to read rather than the hour before lights out I used to.

Did dry January and the first week in Feb.
All ended spectacularly last weekend though.
2 pints of Guinness after work last night.
Suspect it might be a bit more this afternoon though.

Still dry here. It was day 50 in the week. Not missing it as much now if I'm at home. Out is different. I'd been compensating with eating more sweet stuff than usual. Not normally arsed by it. But I've knocked that on the head this week and felt miles better. Loads more energy and very clear head. Been sleeping brilliantly since Jan.

If I don't have a drink before Summer, and end of March sees the caravan open up for the season, I reckon that might be me and drink.

Mind you, there's some nice spots in Anglesey once you've done a beach or coastal path walk.

Still not found a no/lo drink I really like. The San Miguel 0% is the one I've been buying but I need to expand my horizon, especially when out.

Flaneur Have you tried the Leffe 0% mate? Well tasty. My favourite of the AF lagers. Big Tezzers sell it.

I'm drinking but its much more measured. Down to one day a week plus maybe a few cans one night.

I'm playing more 5-a-side which is helping.
