Raposa The damming evidence was a bid from Athletico for Johnson that was five mil less than Spurs but inside the time parameters.
Johnson had point blank refused Brentford. That bid was 12 mil less than spurs.
We were also guilty of playing him to often in the run up to sale - they have said we surely should have protected the prize asset. I think he played the day before the sale in a cup game.
It is an odd one as we are only the second point of reference behind Everton. Everton will be the third when their second charge/sanction announced in the next fortnight.
Personally I think they would be fools to appeal but by all accounts they will and I also think we will go down as were are awful.
So in essence if we had sold to Athletico for five mil less than the price we got from Spurs none of this would be a thing.
