I was given to understand that Palmer decided to move as he wasn't getting enough playing time. I actually think he's a better footballer than Foden; a more natural attacking midfielder. Foden is good mind but Palmer's radar is sharper; it shepherds him past players, gives him time even when he's getting the ball 6 yards out. Very impressive.
That nonchalant, chipped cross to Sterling at the end of the game against Burnley reminded me of Cruyff. I shit you not. Of course, he can't be Cruyff, no one can, but that was a play that can't be taught. I had one of those sharp intakes of breath when he did that.
