Hamas are a terrorist organisation, the IRA were/are a terrorist organisation. I expected the UK government to conduct the conflict legally and proportionally. I expect Israel to conduct the conflict legally and proportionally.
My position would be similar for any similar situation, religion doesn't come into it. For some reason you want to make it about Jews when for me it's a state thing.
Israel's treatment of Palestinians in their day to day living breeds conflict, just as the British army's conduct in Belfast drove IRA recruitment.
For the record I was sickened when I heard that terrorists had attacked Israel.
