Placid To be fair Palestine was one state until the Israeli terror groups led by Ben-Gurion and backed by the US declared the state of Israel in british mandated palestine in 1948, thus starting a sequence of ethnic cleansing and murder (the latter on both sides) that is still going on today. While the British did not handle this sequence of events very well at all (such as when they shipped most of the occupants of the Exodus to a detainment camp in Hamburg when the French would not accept the said occupants back into France (from whence they had most recently come), it was the power of the US that allowed the Israeli apartheid state to be created. But the Americans at that time were pretty good at apartheid themselves, so it should have come as no real shock.

I've been watching some of the footage of the Palestinians returning north hoping to salvage something of their previous life. But there's nothing except endless mounds of rubble.

There is no excuse for what the Israeli government forces have done here. NONE. And some people are still acting as apologists for this genocide and destruction. Why?

Djpekingman then there is the poisoning of the agricultural water supply, the slaughter of breeding stock and the degradation of arable land. I know some Israelis opposed the government, and some of those who oppose the government don't do it purely because of the hostages but when you see the government they elect repeatedly it is hard not to generalise that Israel is a nation full of poisonous cunts.

The news this morning reported 7 Israeli hostages to be released by Hamas and 2000 Palestinian detainees by Israel. Detainees? Who are they? Prisoners, hostages, civilians, fighters? What are they being detained for? Surprisingly, there was no explanation, as the focus was on Trump ‘The Messiah’ and Netanyahu ‘The Butcher’, all smiles and handshakes. I’m surprised that any opposition to the destruction of Gaza is not now punishable by death.

90Piesanhour Its the sheer numbers of dead palestinians that I can't get over - at least 60k from violence and fuck knows how many through starvation, disease and lack of even the most basic health care. Even taken at 60 - 70k that's at least 3% of the total population of Gaza. Take in some of the higher estimates of the dead and you're over 10%. How the fuck can that not be defined as genocide? The figures are staggering.
