If my maths are correct, there is a chance of three teams finishing with over 100 points, and one with over 90, and only two getting promoted. This must be a record, and coupled with the fact that the gap between the championship & premier league has widened, all 3 promoted teams will more than likely go straight back down again with little more than a whimper. I suspect that at least two if not all of the relegated clubs this season, and next, will set about the championship in a similar manner next season and the season thereafter.
We’ve managed to kill the top division off in 30 years, and we’re now setting about the championship.
