Misura Sorry I meant to get back to this. Have Forest spent to such an extent that they could face sanctions or decide not to spend much for a season or two to spread their expenditures out?
The no relegation idea would surely just mean it’s the same three whipping boys every season rather than the up and down sides we have now.

Jon OMJ's Forest fans probably know better than I, but I think that they breached FFP rules last year, and took a 4 point penalty, and I they're on course to do it again this.

Within reason, they have players that they can sell to get back in the black. I think that you'll see them doing things like selling MGW and buying someone like McAtee from Man City. I read somewhere that their wage bill averages out to circa £70k a week.

As long as they don't go down, they'll be ok.

The league is sold to a global TV audience as being exciting and competitive. The no relegation rule seems to work ok in US sports, and its basically applies to Rugby Union in this country. Investors like certainty.

Say that Leeds, Boro and us get promoted; i'd say that us & Boro would be straight back down without much of a fight. And if Southampton, Ipswich and Leicester/Wolves/Palace go down this season, I can't see a situation where at least 2 of those sides don't go straight back up.

Misura we did breach for a few days as they hung out for more money for BJ. Could have sold him a few days before for 12m less to a continental team. They thought they could mitigate. They couldn't.

I'd be surprised if we breached again. We sold a CH and a DM to Lyon for 50m alone.

Misura Sport’s different here. The lower you finish the higher you are in the draft pick (from the college sports leagues) the following season. There’s no way to replicate that in English football.
