Glad to leave Lyon in the end as I couldn't sustain an erection for much longer. Christ on a vélo, the wank bank's accruing interest at a rate like the late 80s.

I wish this place could accommodate videos. Within two hours of arriving in Geneva🇨🇭we'd stumbled into this huge techno fest. Float after float slowly making their way around the lake blaring out their ravey beats. Completely not my genre but it fit perfectly with the weather, the setting, everything. We followed it for half an hour and then walked out to the water jet past another load of fucked young 'uns.

With the train station on your left & the lake on your right, there’s a decent burger place called ‘Holy Cow’, and if you continue up the road, away from the city centre there’s a decent English style boozer that had live music in the basement. Mr. Pickwick’s. Ditch the wife & child and pick up some honeys. 👍

Harvest I only pass through the city when I catch a train to Milan. It runs along the lake & into the mountains. It stops at other places, maybe worth an investigation. A man can grow tired of gourmet burgers, beer & honeys. I should know. 🙄

Went to Lausanne for the day. Old Town all very nice but a lot of stuff closed on a Sunday.

Opening day of the Swiss League, did Lausanne v Basel. 3-2 home win. Just about deserved. Red hot, they had a drinks break. Lausanne went two up pretty quick, should have had more.

Decent new ground, holds about 14. Easy to get food and ale and that thing that Leeds hate you doing, having a piss.

Two players who'd do a job for us - Dominick Schmidt for Basel, cracking left wing back/left back. Up and down that side, stuck in some lovely crosses.

Antoine Bernede, centre midfield, skilful player, always thoughtful through balls, had bags of time. I'd take both.

Basel are/were tasty. I can remember when they slapped Liverpool about a few years ago. Home & away.

Misura Next to the away section in the stand we were in there were probably a couple of hundred mixed in Basel fans. Not a hint of trouble. All pretty sedate and chilled.

Djpekingman The techno thing☝️was bonkers, some long walks along the lake, sat here for an hour watching the world go by -

Had a wander out to the botanic gardens which is huge and lovely to walk round, couple of big glasshouses

Had a nice wander and something to eat in the old town and wandered back through the huge park. Went up to the UN building. Had the best Vietnamese meal I've ever had five mins from our hotel. Did a few bars and lots of wandering down the waterfront, some stunning architecture in and around Geneva, lovely city. All public transport - buses, trams, trains, water taxis on the lake are free to tourists, just need to download a link. Not a cheap place, but there and Lausanne were four really good days - and hot.
