Harvest Indeed. There was an awful lot of shite riding on the Britpop bandwagon wasn't there? I didn't mind Sleeper cos Louise Wener. Their songs were a bit pffft though. I always thought that Pulp's music was a vehicle for Cocker's persona and never really got into them that much. I mean, you know like with the Roses, every instrument was integral to the sound. They weren't that sort of band were they? They put on an exceptional show at Glastonbury when they replaced the Roses though. It was a weird time. Loads of bands who had been going for years suddenly went for the chart success jugular. Giant Steps by the Boo Radleys was ace then they did that Wake Up Boo and it killed them. I quite liked Dodgy's earlier Homegrown album, it had a great 60s stoner sound then that Good Enough was bleuuughr
