Went to our local curry house tonight, Zaiqa. Just the three of us; me, my wife and our son. Myself and my wife sat with our backs to the wall and our son sat opposite us. Behind our son were 2 tables at right angles to our table so that the people sat there were also at right angles to us. At one table there was a middle-aged couple sat opposite a slightly younger bloke whilst at the other table was a middle-aged couple sat opposite each other. As I sat down I thought I spotted the table of 3 glancing over at me. This happened again a couple of times whilst we ordered food and it was then I noticed the woman on the table of 2 having a good old stare. This carried on throughout the starters and in to the main course. I thought it was my imagination until my wife commented on the starers, too. The table of 3 finally fucked off, but starey lady on the table of 2 couldn’t help herself, to the point where our son turned round and got a dose of staring for himself. No idea what was going on, or who they thought we were, but when the couple finally left things went back to normal. Fucking weird. Great food, though. 🥘🤔🤷
