at what point do you keep voting for someone you don’t trust or believe in just because they’re not as bad as the opposition ?
It’s a fair question. I’d say maybe you have the luxury of switching allegiance when the opposition run a candidate like Bush Jr rather than someone people like Mitt Romney, Liz Chaney, John ‘I Love War Me’ Bolton Dick WMD Cheney and even that absolute ghoul Mitch McConnelll are telling anyone who’ll listen is an absolute Weapon and it’s a candidate without a track record of absolute chaos, destruction and decisiveness. To say nothing of sucking up to Putin or racking up untold billions of national debt.
One of the first things Trump did when he came into power was to cap SALT which basically meant I could only deduct a maximum of $10,000 state, property etc taxes from my federal tax bill. My house is small, my property taxes are north of $10,000. I live here because it’s where the jobs are not because I like this God forsaken state. We were priced out of NY years ago. This primarily impacted Democrat voting states with high payroll taxes and property taxes. It was a punitive measure to punish such states for not voting for him. Lately, he’s been campaigning on repealing the cap. The cap he put in place. It’s not just the world wide phenomenon of inflation that’s made me worse off. But he’s going to fix it. 👍
Be interesting to see the Trumpers at the union hall complaining when Bacon Davies is rolled back. I doubt most of them read any of the literature we were sent.
Can’t wait to see how he imposes tariffs and lowers the cost of living.
Be interesting to see Musk’s efficiency drive if and when he gets a seat in the administration. Was it 75% of Twitter staff he canned?
16,000,000 is roughly how many jobs were created in the last four years.
I’m not saying the Dems are great, far from it. Of course there’s a time and a place for a protest vote. I’d strongly suggest this wasn’t the time.
7% voting Green in an election Labour were slated to win handsomely is a world removed from voting Green in the last US election.
