I'm trying to see it from a Trump voters point of view. There must be millions of normal people there who voted for him who knows he's an absolute prick but think he can bring change to the country, who thinks there is too much immigration, who believe they're sending too much money abroad. I don't think this makes them bad people, they've just had enough of coasting along with the Democrats and not getting anywhere. This is the mistake we made with Brexit and with Johnson. Millions of people can't all be thickos, they just want to make a point.

This is why coalitions are often the only way where you can get a little bit of something you want.

Bill Maher has been banging the 'it's the economy and immigration' drum for months. When Harris finally got around to addressing the border, it sounded insincere and reeked of afterthought.
Just because you don't want things to matter, it doesn't mean they don't for loads of people.

Does that really sound plausible to you? Maybe it does. It sounds like the definition of insanity to me.

She wasn’t my idea of a great candidate. The only good thing I can recall her doing was grilling Brett Kavanaugh. I’d vote for a lump of rock before I’d sit out an election when Trump was the alternative.

Same.. but I think it's definitely the case and it happens more on the left side of poiltiics. Some people are just desperate to be correct (politically), even in the face of someone like Trump. Not so much on the right ... they see winning is all that matters.

There are people who would argue that if they don't stand up to the Democrats then they (the Democrats) will continually count on decent people to vote for them on the basis of an anyone but Trump, Le Pen, 'right wing candidate' tip and never change . They have to change now.

Yes it is - 22509 people out of hundreds of millions. Bet that's accurate.
