Has a nice riff and is a good pop song. My first, serious, girlfriend loved the bloke. At the time of its release, I was, probably, listening to the Floyd's Meddle.

T. Rex. Kings of glam? Maybe, maybe not. But for sure they have left a longer lasting legacy than much of what was termed glam. And he didn't get lifted for kiddy fiddling like so many of his peers. I remember the Peel falling out, Peel saying at the time and quoted in at least one of his biographies 'don't meet your heroes, they'll only disappoint'.

Anyway, the song. Acemans. Bolan and T-Rex were one from my yoof, loved 'em. Good pick.

Djpekingman There was a school of thought that said Bolan and (to a greater extent) Bowie, were two of the main conduits from glam to punk. Which I’d agree with, in terms of the art-school wing of punk.

Harvest some of the stories Codling told us were bonkers. When he lived in LA he was at parties at the same house where the Manson Murders took place around the same time. In fact he lived on the same block. He played with Hendrix, but the list of bands they did play with is bonkers. Floyd, Fleetwood mac, grateful dead etc.
