I need to add some comment here. while up the jungle our guides always picked up any plastic they saw lying around and made sure it was disposed of properly, even if it meant carrying piles of plastic through miles of the jungle to a point where they could do that. I got the impression that Most people that live up there care deeply for the environment. Unfortunately they have little money and no power. The rich bastards that have the money and power on the other hand don’t give a flying fuck about the environment or the people that live in it and seem hell bent on fucking as much of it up as possible so they can add to to their already fat pot. Lula, the incumbent president talks a good game but there are so many cunts running around in central and local government willing to take a fat back hander from these companies whose sole intention is to strip it, fuck it up, leave their mess and fuck off. The Amazon is vast but its resources are finite. These cunts have to be stopped. There are signs, but power and money is still ruling the roost. Rant over. Til the next one.
