The reason these players are available is because they can no longer cut it at the top level - Gray looking at 4th division football for christ's sake. Look at the number of games they have played over the last few seasons. Ever diminishing. Like our hopes.

Who thought transfer activity could be so depressing. We all crave it - then it happens its like a day out on the lash that you have looked forward to for ages.

Except its the one where you instinctively no its gonna be shit as soon as everyone meets up and cant agree where to go first, goes downhill from there. Infighting, splits etc later you head off home not pissed but just a little bit arsed off with the whole thing.

Lad called Rodolph Austin, Jamaican International midfielder playing for SK Brann is rumoured to interesting NW. Looks solid enough from the stats, Norway is not a leaguee for the faint hearted and they have already played 10 competetive games so he will be spitting fire from day one.

I like the sound of this one.

I seem to remember him doing damage to our defence, but then again my Mother could probably cause our defence some jitters and she's in her late 70s.

But 3 mill for a 28 year old? Aren't there younger and better players around for 3 million quid?

Rodolph Austin telling Norwegian TV he wants to come to Leeds apparently. Nickname "Steve" surely!!

Also on Mackail-Smith, he's better than McCormack and keeps him out of the Scotland squad so let's sell one any buy t'other. The reaon they want money for him is that they paid £2.5m and he's only one year into a 4 year deal. i suppose we could ask why he's up for grabs? Does he want to be at Brighton 'til he's 31?

I did live in Brighton for 6 months though, great place. Fancied the summer by the seaside whilst working in London. Wandering down The Lanes, all the little galleries around the Seven Dials art festival thing, Seagulls the size of chuffing dogs going through the bins.

Ha, you're right about the seagulls. Some of them are fucking huge ! I'd like to him at Leeds, can't see him leaving Brighton though. They love him down here + I think they'll be pushing for promotion. Bridge, ex scum keeper Kryshyak + some good spaniard, are all quality additions in this league.

I just don't see us spending that money if I'm honest and if we had it,surely there are better players out there for less fee and a bit more in their pay packet.

Of all the diappointers and the disinterested that we seemed to have to endure in the Leeds team last season, McCormack was one of the least frustrating for me, at least he looked like he wanted to work and can actually play decent football. I'd much prefer to keep hm. M-S is the sort of striker Warnock likes though I think, because he REALLY works his knackers off from what I;ve seen.

Didn't NW sign Akinbiy once, for a big fee? I doubt I've ever seen a striker work harder during a game, I'm talking chasing lost causes more lost than the Liberal party :P - it was just a shame he didn't actually score that many.

Those kind of players always create chances for others though and they keep the pressure on the opposition. You chase a lost cause you stop a fullback turning and having loads of time to look about and pick a pass. Warnock will never accept his team letting the oppos get comfy on the pitch. Plus fans love them and it keeps the atmosphere going.
