Yes, we are kidding ourselves especially if we unload him with only three other strikers to choose from (Rip van Winkle, Hooper--injured--and now Elmander). Becchio didn't get off the bench yesterday. A lot of our supporters don't rate him, but he's barely had any chances to show what he might be capable of. After all, he scored plenty of goals for you.

Yorkshire Evening (6am edition) Post is suggesting we are in for either Becchio or Shane Long this week and also could be offering David Bentley a deal as a free agent.These are better quality rumours than we have been used to but are they true?Plus strikers who have a handful of starts might piss off teammates in defence by talking about sloppy goals and uphill struggles. Mid you he's 6ft 20in so can probably say what the fuck he wants.

I hope he sticks to the comment he said about loans, he said he prefers to use them only if he intends to sign the player permanently. I suspect the high number of managers who seem to lose the dressing room nowadays is connected to the way so many managers are quick to use the loan market, overlooking the 20 or so professionals in their charge who are sat on their arses each weekend.To me use of the loan system just screams that your club is failing. Why blood youngsters for Premiership teams and not your own, why have all that infrastructure if it can't do the job it was created to do. Why have 30+ pro's if you run to the loan market the moment someone gets injured? Make do and mend, build a spirit, give people in the reserves something to aim for.

I wish he could lose half of our dressing room. Can he not drive them blindfold our into the middle of Keilder or Cairngorm and tell them we're 'orienteering' as part of training. Hunt could then finally live up to his name.

That's not what they are though. They are good enough for mid table and they are trying their Bollocks off and they will be alright if they carry on as they are. Should he bring on some youngsters, yes but with people around them. Even under gray half the team were useless old cunts. We forget.The man has a history of bringing on from within, and while he may not be the new saviour he should be given the season to see what he can build.
