Reggie_Perrin His title was General Manager and Club Secretary so back then that meant being in charge of the non playing side (fixtures, tickets, board meetings, meetings with the FA, the ground in general, wages etc etc). The Commerical manager was separate and they looked after the club shop, kit deals etc.
He was instrumental in getting Clarke in and I think his days were numbered when we got relegated. he lasted another 18 months or so. The club had also changed from Manny Cussins, who he actually got on well with. and Leslie Silver had just come in. New regime, new ideas and my dad was surplus. It happens
