Foxy_Dread Harvest a midfielder who will not be much cheaper than Phillips unfortunately. I hope the add one are good.
Harvest Foxy_Dread Seems a shitty deal doesn't it. As was mentioned on here though, a few years back when Phillips was not even average, just consistently poor, can you imagine this going through?
YoungParisian_inExile Who are we going buy who's remotely at his level for 42M .... Given that we managed to spunk 30 on Rodrigo
Loose_Lips YoungParisian_inExile No one. You can't and we shouldn't. Look at Arsenal. Into the markets for 22 year olds at 25 / 30 million. They will come very good over the next few years.
Bod Leeds were never going to get much more than this for Phillips, he's 27 this year and only got 2 years left on his contract. His value would diminish the longer Leeds kept hold of him
Raposa CharlieG Depends on the structure of the deal. We don’t know of course but is a 45m deal with at least half paid up front better than a 60m deal paid all in instalments over 5 years? If we need the cash then it’s the right deal. Good luck to him,it’s probably the one club and manager I don’t mind him going to.
CharlieG At the end of the day, the lad doesn't owe us anything. Don't remember him having a good game since he came back from injury, though.
Harvest I've been in crowds, home and away, where Phillips was booed by Leeds fans. All seems a bit surreal now. I saw his debut at Wolves, seems like a lifetime ago.
