Hopefully the lad Roca will have an impact but its probably going to take time for him. I'd say we need a central midfielder who can come in straight away and boss a game, Guimares at the Geordies was a great buy and around the same price.

I have no problem with selling Phillips, he picks up quite a few injuries. He deserves a shot at glory, but if we had instigated a bidding war we would have got higher bids.

Perhaps the inner sanctum, Orta, Marsch and whoever think he is done under Marsch's set up and it's best to get shut sharpish.

I'd play tough, with a view to sell in January. The only downside to that approach is a possible sulky player.

Let’s be honest in an ideal world Phillips stays and we’d all agree we’re probably 10 million light on the deal.
But we all knew he was off this summer and wasn’t likely to be hanging around playing in a mid/bottom end PL team which unfortunately is where we’re at for now.
I can deal with the fact he’s gone to probably the best club team in the world and hopefully develop even further under Guardiola rather than take another 10/15m to see him donning a red shirt a la Ferdinand and Smith.
No disrespect Cordshoes.
Generally it looks like a deal that suits all parties, but let’s see who comes in now.
