Transfer Rumours/Signed

CharlieG

Sky reporting on it too.

CharlieG

Happy that he's not going to fucking Chelsea. Good luck Raph.

Mitaman

Good money that, good luck to him.

Foxy_Dread

Yes good luck to him. He has conducted himself well in my opinion. The stories of him signing for Chelsea probably helped to focus Barcelona's mind and signalled to them that they had to find the money if they wanted to sign him, He wasn't going to tantrum to the detriment of Leeds. Although World Cup year would be a bad time to down tools.

EEPW

Foxy_Dread im assuming the outstanding fee we still owe for Firpo (around 10 million) was wiped out too? probably helped.

Foxy_Dread

EEPW you would think so.

Bod

I'd be very surprised if Barcelona will pay this for Raphinha, they will offer less, they are in a right mess financially, they still owe money for past transfers, haven't been paying players wages and can't register players. This could drag on for a while, they need to sell him now or his value will drop come January

Reggie_Perrin

Bod sold shares in TV rights for €200m didn't they though?

Bod

Reggie_Perrin didn't know that, we shall see then

Mitaman

Reggie_Perrin they did, selling off future rights. Remind us of anyone we know?

Chopper_Read

Reggie_Perrin And they're still think they can have their cake and eat it! They want to re-sign Dembele for nothing on half the wages he was on. They still want Lewandowski from Bayern and they want Rapha from us, whilst still owing millions in salaries and transfer fees. You couldn't make it up!

Djpekingman

Chopper_Read Odd thing is that the 'other lot' in Madrid were in the same boat but have somehow managed to hush it all up.. Even with the astronomical wages and transfer fees given the amount both teams make it an extraordinary feat of shit accounting and mismangement to end up in that kind of debt. Makes Ridsdale look like an amateur and at least he had ITV digital to blame.

Chopper_Read

Djpekingman The other lot always seem to be able to sell a property owned by Real and sell it for about 600 million. Where do you think that wanker Morris from Derby got his idea from?

oneallanclarke

65m Euros if all add-ons paid? If so, we've been Kewelled twice this summer. I don't desperately care but it doesn't reflect well on whoever handles outgoing transfers.

Reggie_Perrin

oneallanclarke Kewell went for nada didn't he?

Foxy_Dread

oneallanclarke Raphinha asked for a transfer so loses his cut if that is still a thing. We are a few million down on him going to Barcelona rather than Chelsea. On the other hand they did move to within reach of the Chelsea bid because we dug in.

90Piesanhour

Reggie_Perrin Yeah. The cunt.

Reggie_Perrin

oneallanclarke our own stupid fault for putting ourselves in such a weak position.

king_of_the_slums

45 goals for us and then 45 goals for 5 sides after us.

Had Liverpool's pants down, let's face it he was shit everywhere else except at the Turkish side.
