One failed bid for someone who didn't want to come here, one failed medical and a 25m pacy midfielder offloaded to a non-local rival for no reason whatsoever. Yes, some don't like him, but Fulham like him, he's got 100+ prem games under his belt, and we're prepared to let him go as we've got the next JKA, albeit this kid didn't want to come.

I’ve read a suggestion that they gave him a senior cap to make sure he wouldn’t commit to Ivory Coast, where his parents are from.
Reading about him, he seems a proper prospect, quick, good dribbler, eye for goal. An eventual upgrade on James but the worry, based on Marsch’s previous comments is he’s not ready for first team football. He made quite an impact off the bench for Zurich last season, though, so maybe, hopefully, we’ll see him doing the same for us this season.

Not remotely bothered about losing James. Making poor choices whilst running fast is still making poor choices. With the way Lasso sets the team up Harrison and Sinisterra with Summerville to understudy is fine. Aaron son can step into a wider role if injury requires and there is Dallas to comeback as well. Maybe if Bielsa had got a full pre-season with James he’d have developed but he didn’t and as such I’ve seen nothing to justify the fee. Lee sharpe in disguise and good riddance as far as I’m concerned.

Big responsibility on Bamford to stay fit from here on in. Rather it was James we lost than Harrison. Summerville has been behind James in the pecking order , right up to Everton game, so it is a strange one.
We were promised a Premier league striker back in May, obviously that was Che Adams or Nketiah and nobody else. Then all the eggs went into the DeKeteler basket.
The reasonably good start has made them think we have enough to stay up comfortably.
There's not that many games until the next window, but we know how reluctant they are to buy in January.

Personally I think Gelhardt’s up to it. He just needs regular game time. Preferably some starts or full half’s so he’s a little less desperate to prove his worth in 10 minute increments.
