Misura Raposa Au contraire mon ami, I think McBurnie is shit. I was talking him up in the vain hope that Leeds took him off our hands. 😉
Harvest Misura As you mentioned at the time that Junior Firpo was a decent signing for us, this gives me a degree of optimism.
Misura Harvest he is/was. Christ knows what you did to him. I always seem to get the 0.01% of incorrect opinions thrown back at me on here, rather than feted for the genius I am. Yer bastards. 🙄

Mitaman Misura In Fairness, the whole squad was relegated 3 times in those 3 seasons too. But points taken. That said, I would have paid Kalvin Philipp's bus fare to leave us 4 years ago, so you never know...
Zipper Djpekingman Do you have any evidence that JM had any say in the signings. Out of interest who do you blame for the signings of Dan James, Llorente, Koch, Firpo, Augustin,Rodrigo.
EEPW Zipper One thing is absolutely certain. Bielsa would not have sanctioned ANY signing he did not Want, i i cannot believe that Orta (the cunt) would have had final say. Bizarre really. Then again Marcelo thought Tyler roberts was the next Messi
Djpekingman Zipper No. Hence the post 'But I wonder how much say Marsch had in signing the dross we did on his watch?'. Please read the whole fucking thing before you jump in. And for me, you are to blame for everything wrong with the world, including Orta's shit signings. Your rock awaits you.
MDF Zipper I think Bielsa definitely wanted Dan James. Koch probably. Firpo and Rodrigo was Orta "convincing" Bielsa that the squad depth was too thin.
Zipper EEPW Certainly our transfer dealings must be one of the worst in Europe. Hopefully we get a couple right this time. Orta had form at Middlesbrough Negrado I think he was paid a Kings ransom and others that have bolloxed the club up, seem to be back on track now.Hopefully a decent season ahead and one big plus, No Var
Mitaman MDF Rodrigo was Orta “convincing” Bielsa that the squad depth was too thin. Do you know this to be true or is this just your speculation? I don’t see a personality like Bielsa being persuadable?
Chopper_Read I also thought Orta overuled Bielsa when it came to Llorente as well. That's what I read.
Bod No way would Orta overrule Bielsa on signings. Bielsa would have walked out if he didn't have a say who was coming in, he's done it before at other clubs. Bielsa is as much to blame as Orta for some of the poor signings, don't forget he wanted Aaronson as well
EEPW Bod The only caveat to this would be if Bielsa and Radz had agreed that no matter what There would be a new manager (JM) at the end of the season and any new signings would have to be brought in with the longer term in mind. Hence the Arronson signing. Before January last year there is no way Orta had authority over Bielsa.
Mitaman EEPW I get a vague feeling that Bielsa protected Leeds from Orta’s worst instincts while he was with us. Once MB had gone, Orta had a free hand. I could be wrong.
