Whatever happens it’s still Leeds. Football’s changed so much in our lifetimes but it’s still football come kick off. I’ll never stop been a Leeds fan but it’s been an abusive relationship most of my life. Wober and Aaronson will pass, so too will the 49ers. I wouldn’t swap this club for any other. We’ve been shit before we will be again but we might also be alright this season no matter what.
I never thought they’d get their money back on Rutter. Gives me pause as Brighton appear to be great judges of talent and potential. Shane we couldn’t just cut out the middle man and flog him to Chelsea for £100m ourselves.
I think there’s some truth in Reg’s idea but I don’t see them exiting. I think they’re seen what Farke achieved and believe he can get the job done in an arguably weaker division this season. I think they see Aaronson and Woner as capable talents at this level and maybe they are. Strip the sentiment out of Gray and it makes perfect sense to cash in on a lad who could get injured and be worth fuck all to you at any point, especially with financial compliance hanging over the club’s head. Same club who sold his grandad and have treated Eddie like shit multiple times. There’s no sentiment in this game. Summerville we all knew would be on his way. Irrational to think otherwise. Rutter is fun and creative and just an all round likeable lad but maybe someone else can contribute equally all be it with less flare?
I still think we’ll see a couple of signings. The fans need to back Farke and accept that he’s the guy the owners are hiding behind. He’s got Nowich up twice and went close last season. I do t give a fuck if we dropped off at the end or had a rocky start. He got 90 points. Over a season it doesn’t matter when you accumulate those points only how many you end up with.
I’m looking for players to step up grab their chances and not hide.
Anyone saying they’re done with the club, fair enough. Me, I’m in too deep.
