Skysports.com understands Championship trio Nottingham Forest, Burnley and Leeds are lining up a move for Sheffield Wednesday winger Jermaine Johnson.

Leeds are also keeping tabs on the player, with Whites chief Simon Grayson keen to bolster his midfield options.

The three interested clubs are exploring the option of signing Johnson on an emergency loan with a view to a permanent move when the transfer window reopens in January.

Whatever is done or not done a questiion has to be asked of SG and Bates will be formulating somethign along these lines. "Right Simon, things are on the slide. What do you think is the root cause and what do you plan to do about it?".

How often do clubs part comapny witth he manager after questions like this are asked because the response is absolutely key. He has to have a rock solid plan otherwise things aint getting better. He might just do a Coppell / Keegan. Bates will know that WGS is currently without employ.
