I think he's suggesting that Grayson is shit with money, that the money we do have is badly spent on players who are quickly binned/ sidelined and sit on the bench and the reserves picking up money for nothing.

Anyway, if we win at Brighton tomorrow I'll be forming the Toronto branch of the Simon Grayson fan club. ;)

Its 54% Derby's is around the same everyone else is a higher. Leicester's will be over 100% this seaseon.

Suspect bates is not arsed about going up due an alleged tax bill he has hanging over the club from admin. All heresay.

Forget proportion 12-13m is a bigger number than many of the competition gross.

And forget transfer fees, its total spend - wages, plus fees paid and received.

I suspect some of the ones in on a frees are on £600k plus signing on fees.

More concerning is the fact so many are shit.

Intersting that PC - the fact we are at 54% means we are competing on a level playing field outside of Leicester, Ipswich, Brighton (at a guess), Boro, Saints etc hence we are where we are. I wouldn't want bates to go to 100% by any stretch but we should easily be busting our balls to get out of this league and spend relative to the resources we have.

If we went up we have to pay back the creditors a further 10p in the £ from what I remember so it will be interesting to see what happens during the next close season or whether we will be mid-table mediocrity for years to come. It's all gone quiet on the 'financial fair play' bollocks as well as that will no doubt give us the clout we need to start competing again.

While I'd like us to spend more - as yes, growing businesses should invest in accordance with their incomings - I do agree that we probably outspend about 75 per cent of this division.

And anyone can see that Grayson's transfer activity has largely been uninspiring... the majority, including his beloved loans - have been downright stinkers.

The interesting thing in all this I'd say is that the transfers that have really worked for us recently - Gradel, Lonergan and Clayton and McCormack who have come good this year - are all players we actually paid fees for.

Which beats the fuck out of the freebies and loans argument both Grayson and the club policy put forward as a transfer policy.

You mean the payment to the creditors if leeds go up before 2012. Yeah, not sure if its 5m or more.

Don't forget they also have a massive tax credit worth around 20m that they can write off against any future profits.

Going up might mean more revenue, but the outgoing go mental. He could lose out personally or not benefit much if we went up. Add in the scrutiny and you could understand why he wouldn't be arsed.

Anyway he has the perfect man to 'live the dream' for him.

I was told by a financial analyst that the creditors 'bill' if we get back in the Prem didn't exist and so that the theory Bates doesn't want promotion wasn't true. Having said that, this analyst was not 100% sure he was correct, just 'pretty' sure.

The Cricketers over on Rue de Mathurins (metro Madeline or St Lazarre) used to show most things on sky TT..... Full of knobs though like most expat bars.

Sheeesh! You jet setters - can't keep track of where you all are.

Only ever went in the Bowler once - that was enough, played football a couple of times for the Cricketers - both were pretty dreadful if you ask me, but there again, aren't all expat pubs? The same chain had another one down on the left bank, but I can't remember what it was called, but it was pretty much the same as the other two. Did a good fry up on a Saturday morning though, when a craving for tea and lard overtook that for croissants and coffee.

The chef at the Bowler used to deal on the side, wasn't paying his suppliers who would come in and ask my ex his whereabouts. They ended up taking him to a flyover of the peripherique and putting a gun to his head. he was back in the UK next day, at the cops turning himself in for a crime that he fled to Paris for ...

Expat pubs ? I like Stollys. Used to play for them.
