Paddy Kenny - Its common knowledge in Halifax that he fancied a move to Leeds before he went to QPR, I don´t know him but he´s well known by a few of the lads in town. Not sure who he supported but his elder brother was a big Man Utd fan and not adverse to getting involved. His dad Paddy snr always reckoned he was a spurs fan but didn´t really give a shit.

I´ve just had someone on the phone desperate to know where they could get a bet on Paddy Kenny being a Leeds player before the end of the following season. I laughed.

Heard lots about Derry and Smith again. From various sources.

I watched Smith yesterday for Mk Dons v PNE. He was absolutely garbage so much so that he made Becchio look world class.Called me old fashioned but I would be more upset if we signed him than if we gave Connolly a 10 year deal.

Its a given that Snodgrass and/or McCormack will go.Out of the two,I'd hope we can keep McCormack personally, but as ever if the right offer comes in,we'll sell.Bates will have to generate some income,to keep up with the extra pie count for the new keeper.

Any offer over £4m and we are biting hands off. Snodgrass a given, will go Norwich (we are their feeder club) and fit in well.

For me McCormack did alright last season when the team set up for him and has done well this season. The reality is that any sane management would look to keep him, Snodgrass and a few more and build around them as they are capable at this level. We need a spine and some intelligence out there and you'd think we'd be looking at that sort of approach. And that would include a restructuring cost, paying some players to fuck off or clubs to take them. But I don't see any saniity - just lots of high octane abuse and blame from Colin and the boards mouthpieces. as if they want to build a case for selling off the better players and bringing in some more thirty something carthorses for another pay day. Like QPR have kicked on after going up haven't they...not. Norwich is a great model, much as some may look down on them.Directors who invest, a manager who buys possibles rather than past its (although the Johnson buy still confuses me) and look where they are. Second season downturn not withstanding.QPR are nothing to admire.

I don't think he's the missing link somehow.I don't think it will be a disappointing summer I've heard we have signed Hermann munster Hreiðarsson and he's 38 next birthday!
